Accommodation

The ICN2018 Congress secretariat has confirmed rooms at a selection of Brisbane hotels for the benefit of Congress delegates.

The hotels have been selected for their proximity to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre. However, each venue has a benefit to the delegate providing you with a broad selection and choice to suit your accommodation needs whilst in Brisbane.

The apartment style facilities offer you a much larger space, ideal for long stays or if you are sharing with family or colleagues.

All venues are in safe and easy walking distance to the Congress venue and accessible to local supermarkets and general facilities travelling guests may require.

You are encouraged to secure your accommodation through the Congress secretariat to ensure that you receive the negotiated competitive rates.

Accommodation can be booked via the Congress registration form or by contacting the ICN2018 secretariat.

Rates quoted are:

  • Per room per night
  • In Australian Dollars and inclusive of 10% Australian Goods and Services Tax (GST)
  • Subject to availability
  • Rates are applicable for up to two adults*

As seasoned travellers you would be aware that the hotel and accommodation terms and conditions vary from country to country. We encourage you to read the Terms and Conditions below noting the cancellation dates and refund policy.

The advice below is in line with Australian Hotel Standards and will apply across the venues. The Congress Secretariat will not accept responsibility for accommodations booked through 3rd party providers or directly with venues.

Deposits

Accommodation will not be confirmed until payment of the first night is received by Credit Card or full pre-payment is received by Cheque or Electronic Funds Transfer. Your payment will be forwarded to your hotel and credited to your room account. Delegates must settle the balance of their account with the hotel concerned upon check in/out depending on the hotels policy. If accommodation deposits are not received before 31 May 2018 your room will be cancelled and released back to the hotel. The Congress Secretariat does not take responsibility for accommodation if payment is not received by this date.

Cancellations

No accommodation payments will be refunded on or after 31 May 2018

Delegates who confirm attendance by paying a minimum of the first night and do not advise of cancellation before 31 May 2018 the ‘no show’ rate, as penalised by the hotel will be charged to you and your payment will not be refunded. This charge is calculated as the room rate per night multiplied by the dates booked and secured. Please ensure that accommodation dates are correct at time of booking and before 31 May 2018 if any changes are required.

Change of booking

Any change in booking must be made in writing to the Congress Secretariat and NOT directly to the hotel before 31 May 2018. Any changes received after 31 May 2018 will be at the hotels discretion and based on availability.

Early arrival

As check in at most hotels is not until 1400, it is possible that your room may not be ready for immediate occupation on your early arrival. Whilst hotels will do everything possible to accommodate early arrivals, if you wish to be guaranteed immediate occupation you can pay an extra day’s tariff for the night before you are due to arrive. If you wish to take this precaution, please advise the Congress Secretariat on the registration form so we can notify the hotel that your room is required early.

Late arrival

Please indicate if you will arrive at your hotel after 1800. Failure to do so might result in your room being released.
